Adult Group Sessions.

Ages 18+

Breathe Together.

Adult group sessions are conscious connected breathworks that take place online or in person for adults. These sessions will be held in groups of no more than 5 people at a time except in special circumstances. If you would like to book a session for more than 5 adults please reach out via email. Before any group session takes place every person in the session agrees to hold sacred space for one another and nothing leaves our circle. Group sessions can be especially great for learning from one another. No two people have the same breathwork experience and during sharing it can be amazing to see what reasonates with other group members.

What to Expect.

The way we get started will differ slightly depending upon if we are meeting online or in person. If we are meeting online I will send you a zoom invitation and join together in the online “room” for our session. If we are meeting in person I will greet you at the door and show you to the space we will be using for our session. In group sessions I will have an activity to help you get into the “right” mindset. This may be a quote to consider, a short writing prompt, an internal evaluation, or whatever is appropriate for our session.

Once everyone is settled in our online or in person space things flow very similarly. We will take a few minutes for me to get to know you and to tell you a bit about myself. I am also happy to answer any questions at this point. I will explain what we will be doing, demonstrate proper breathing technique, talk about how to control your experience with your breath, and discuss any contraindictions we should both be aware of. Once we are comfortable I will invite you to find a comfortable position lying down. If we are in person there will be (freshly laundered) mats, pillows, and blankets for you to use. If you are online I welcome you to lay down where you are most comfortable and can also set the device you are using where I can see you.

Then I will start us off with a meditation. The meditation will vary depending upon the theme, goals, or experience we have discussed previously. During the meditation, regardless of the theme, I will ask you to close your eyes, focus on your breathing, and really feel into your body.

Once the meditation is over we will begin our connected breathwork. I will help guide you to get the most out of each breath. There will also be music playing which I find helps me to keep a steady breathing rhythm.

After our connected breathwork has come to a close we will very slowly bring our breathing back to normal while continuing to lay down and keep your eyes closed. Then I’ll prompt you to move small parts of your body until everyone is ready to open their eyes, and eventually, sit up. After everyone takes a moment sitting up, eyes open, and getting back to “reality” I will offer an opportunity to share. Everything is welcome in this space. This is a safe space to share whatever you experienced.

When we are done I will send you on your way, with “strict” instructions to give yourself lots of space, good food, and relaxation so you can process your experience.
